Alla Horoshenkova mBACP
Integrative Psychotherapist

Hello, I am Alla.

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to best support each of my clients. At the heart of my work is building a strong, trusting relationship with clients, so we can work together to understand what is happening in their lives and find a way forward that suits their current circumstances.

I have experience supporting people through many different challenges, including anxiety, depression, and grief. I have also worked with clients living with medical conditions such as cancer, epilepsy, and recovering after a stroke. These experiences have shown me how deeply our emotional and physical health are connected, and how important it is to draw on all available resources to improve our well-being.

Coming to terms with a diagnosis, medical or psychological, is a personal and emotional journey. It often brings a mix of feelings, from relief to fear of uncertainty. Sometimes, receiving a diagnosis can be freeing, especially when it finally explains long-standing struggles in daily life.

A significant part of my work involves supporting clients through the process of exploring or receiving a diagnosis of Autism or ADHD. I often work alongside other health professionals to ensure my clients have access to thorough assessments and support that is tailored and holistic. My role is to help people understand their emotions and experiences so they can feel more at ease and confident in their lives.

I hold a Master’s degree in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling and draw from humanistic, psychodynamic, and existential approaches, while also incorporating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles where helpful. My interest in interpersonal neurobiology keeps me informed about the latest scientific research, and my background in physics helps me balance evidence-based practice with a deep respect for the uniqueness and complexity of every individual.

As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I work within their ethical framework. My priority is to create a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and supported. I bring compassion, curiosity, and a genuine intention to understand their experiences as we work together toward greater clarity and emotional well-being.
